Bottles & Cans: A tribute to inanimate objects

This blog promises to be the poorest excuse for a blog that was ever blogged. It will be the stuff of mediocre wet dreams that feature women that are in some way distantly related to you. It will be a daily train wreck that no one can stop but all will enjoy, except of course the passengers of the daily train. I don't know what all this means, but it will take shape over time. Or not.

Name:
Location: North Carolina, United States

I raise killer dogs and bees in a caring and nurturing environment. I like children and old people, but not their smells. I alternate between sitting, moving, and sleeping. My dreams are to be successful at something I love without having to work very hard, marry a wonderful woman, have children, grow old and watch them blossom into morons, retire, and somewhere along the way cultivate a deep interest in some insignificant hobby - let's say model trains.

Soy milk vs. Cow milk: The Lactosening

The great debate raged late into the night. Voices were raised. Names were called. Indian burns were administered. But, in the end, the issue was not settled. So, B&C is asking you for input.

The question: Is soy milk just as good as original milk?

Quantify your answer and show your work. This will be an ongoing debate with possibly no end. Those are always the best kind. Like, which is better, hamsters or guinea pigs? You know... the hard questions.

Feel free to weigh in on the guinea pig thing too.

Parting holiday thought: What's up with the garbanzo beans?

If you're just gonna drink a glass of milk then regular milk totally has it. But on cereal, oatmeal, pizza, etc. soy milk is where its at. I mean, it comes in different flavors for crying out loud. I suggest vanilla. It's a taste sensation.

I dislike milk. I drink OJ with calcium and vitamin D just to avoid it. I recently have been consuming soy milk. Since this currently does not include drinking it straight, I have to give it to soy. It doesn't taste like ass.

The eternal debate continues - soy milk vs. cow milk. Originally an avid milk drinker, I saw the light some time last year and now only consume unsweetened soy milk. Ok, the enhanced stuff with flax oil in it is pretty awesome too.

Along with tasting good, there are many clear advantages that our friend the soybean has over cow juice.

Soy protein is very good for you - the national heart association recommends 25 grams of soy protein a day. Are you all eating that much tofu? I imagine not.

Also, with the winter months encroaching, a word to the wise: milk makes your mucous glands kick into overdrive like whoa. In more simple terms - you're gonna be boogery. I, for one, find hacking up snotballs unappealing.

And finally, gastrointestinal issues. Lactose is incredibly hard to digest...it takes up to two and a half hours for your stomach to process cow milk. That's a lot of valuable time wasted that it could be doing...uh...other stuff. yeah. So anyway, soy milk only takes about half an hour, which is similar to goat milk (a whole different tangent that I won't start).

In conclusion, soy milk rules.

While soy milk is your best bet for health, keep eating yogurt because it has good bacteria. And cottage cheese is the shit...don't stop eating that either.

soy'd!!! ack, my enhanced immune system!$!!@!

I think the true dangers of soy milk or soy products in general will not be seen until shortly into the future. To me there is just a little too many similarities between soy milk and soylent green, which we all know is made of people! When we see an outbreak of mad human disease in the granola population then there will be no discussion of whether milk beats soy milk.
